The Internet of Things (IOT) is a rapidly growing technological trend where everyday devices are given Internet connectivity. Such devices can both send data and receive data (or instructions) through the web, via wireless connectivity.
A good example of such devices is the watch used as exercise training monitors. These watches can determine how many miles run in a day, upload this data to the Internet, then receive instructions for the next training session.
There are approximately 12 billion IOT devices around the world today. Experts are projecting that by 2020 these devices will outnumber people 25 times or possibly even more.
The convergence of portable technology through the Internet is opening doors for unified controllers and specialized applications. We are currently developing an innovative cross-platform project using an AI platform to control IoT devices.
