[ Purpose of the platform ]
The Army Health System tracks, analyzes, and improves soldiers’ health and performance in high-stress, wartime environments — especially in Ukraine.
Built with DeHealth ID technology for secure, decentralized data storage, it complies with GDPR, HIPAA, and the Data Protection Act.
Future AI-driven updates will deliver real-time risk analysis, early warnings, and tailored health recommendations, further enhancing frontline medical support.

[ Challenges & business context ]
The Onix team was responsible for:
Instant Identification via ID or QR Code
Medics can enter a soldier’s unique service ID or scan a QR code (often attached to the vest or first-aid kit), immediately pulling up a digital medical card and eliminating the need to sift through paper documents.
Comprehensive Personal and Military Info
Key data fields—ID number, date of birth, rank, and unit details—appear at a glance, ensuring medical staff have essential background information when delivering care.
Injury Mapping and Documentation
Wounds can be precisely marked on a human-body diagram and labeled by type (e.g., gunshot, concussion, amputation). Attachable photos allow for visual documentation, aiding subsequent medical teams.
Vital Signs and Symptom Logging
Time-stamped entries for pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation enable ongoing monitoring. Levels of consciousness and pain scores help staff prioritize interventions.
Detailed Record of Medical Assistance
Medics can specify exactly where and how tourniquets, bandages, or airway devices were applied. This detailed log promotes consistent treatment, especially during evacuations and handoffs between care providers.
Time-Saving Digital Workflow
All data is stored and updated in real time, drastically reducing paperwork, transcription errors, and confusion during hectic situations. Evacuation teams and field hospitals receive up-to-date information before the injured arrive, accelerating care and potentially saving lives.

[ Solutions we provide ]
Our frontend development focused on usability, speed, and future scalability.
The UI needed to work in high-pressure, mobile environments while being easy to use for soldiers, medical personnel, and researchers.
Summing up all our work for this project, these are our key solutions:
Tablet-Optimized UI
for Military Use
The application is designed primarily for tablet users, ensuring touch-friendly navigation, offline mode, and quick data entry, crucial for field operations.

Svelte-Based Frontend
for Speed & Efficiency
Using Svelte, we created a lightweight, fast, and responsive interface that consumes minimal resources, making it ideal for low-bandwidth conditions.

Real-Time Health Data Visualization
We integrated live progress-tracking dashboards for monitoring physical activity, dietary intake, and sleep patterns.

Mind-Body Component for Stress & Fatigue Management
To support mental resilience in combat and training environments, we built a mood-tracking and stress assessment system, allowing soldiers to log stress levels and receive wellness recommendations.

Future AI Integration for Predictive Health Analysis
The next health monitoring system development for military personnel phase includes integrating AI-driven analytics to:﹂Predict potential health issues based on collected data﹂Automate early alerts for fatigue, dehydration, or stress﹂Optimize training regimens based on real-time performance insights

Firebase

[ Results ]
Through our collaboration, the Army Health System is now a fully functional health monitoring tool for soldiers and military families.
The transition to a tablet-first interface has significantly improved usability in the field. With future AI capabilities, the platform will evolve into a predictive health tool, helping military personnel optimize performance and prevent health risks.
Key Metrics:
﹂10,000+ active users in military communities﹂ 2x faster performance with Svelte vs. traditional frontend frameworks
﹂Ongoing AI feature development for automated health risk detection﹂80% of users report improvements in at least one health area (fitness, nutrition, sleep, or stress management)
